Wedding in Black and White – Quidnessett Country Club

Going To The Chapel

When this couple from Connecticut called me about their destination wedding in Rhode Island we connected instantly.

Kristen and Dan and their two sons made the two hour trip to meet with me last year. When they were telling me about their wedding plans I asked how involved the kids planned to be. Kristen told me, very – Connor and Jackson were so excited that “their family was getting married.” I just melted and knew I had to be a part of their big day.

Good thing. Turned out I was in charge of getting very precious cargo to the church on time – the bride, her mother, and mother-in-law-to-be all loaded into my little Jeep Liberty after their limo broke down in the parking lot of their hotel.

Kristen really wanted to do her photos outdoors. At the end of November in Rhode Island you can never be sure of what you’re gonna get weather-wise. And we got pretty blue skies and a perfectly dry day. We didn’t let a little frostbite get in our way in the 30 degree weather where the sun was setting fast.

It was also a black and white themed wedding reception at the Quidnessett Country Club, so the newlyweds really wanted a lot of black and white photos of their day. I think they got everything they wanted that cold day in November.

And when you see how this family looks at each other, you know they really did get everything they ever wanted — each other. Congratulations Kristen and Dan and Connor and Jackson. I’m honored to have been chosen to capture your magic moments as your family got married!
