It’s easy to get into the spirit of a wedding when it’s held on St. Patrick’s Day! Even better when it’s held in the warm climate of the Caribbean! And that’s how Dana and Bret decided to get married. They got hitched on my favorite island, Vieques, PR.
They invited me to be their photographer a year ago. And when I arrived to meet the bride and groom in person the day before the wedding, I was told Dana was in the hospital with a possible broken toe! Talk about bad luck. The streak ended there, though. Dana found that pot of gold at the end of her rainbow anyway – her new husband. And when I arrived at Hacienda Tamarindo the next day where she was getting ready, she was all smiles, no pain. And there was no hint of a limp as this beautiful bride walked barefooted down the warm sandy aisle on a gorgeous sunny day on Sun Bay!
She’s a vet. He’s a pastry chef. How could you not love a couple who love animals and sweets?! So, in the spirit of the 3/17/12 wedding, I found an Irish saying on the Huffington Post I’d love to share with the happy newlyweds: “May the roof above you never fall in, and may your friends beneath it never fall out.”

Michele, I could never have imagined that my pictures would be so wonderful!!!!!!!!!!! You did an amazing job, you were very friendly, and I absolutely LOVED working with you. If I could just explain to everyone who is looking for a wedding photographer that they are CRAZY if they hire anyone else, I would! I can honestly say that hiring you was one of the best decisions that I ever made!

As a photographer, I almost hate to admit it, but when you work with a couple so obviously and openly in love with each other, it truly makes my job so easy 😉 In fact, I mentioned to Bret how fantastic the two of you were to work with – so comfortabe and at ease – and all he could say with sigh and a gleam in his eyes was “I love her soo much.” Brought a tear to my eye.
You two were so much fun and so gracious. And I’m soo happy that I could delivery to you something you’ll enjoy looking at for many, many years to come. Congratulations again, my friends!
